The Belizean Kriol proverb, “wan, wan, okra full baskit,” roughly translates to “step by step, we will reach our goal.”  In this spirit, Full Basket Belize was founded in 2005 to support those working for positive change at the grass roots of Belize. Student by student and project by project, Full Basket Belize helps improve the education, health, environment, and economic development of Belizean communities.

2024-25 Scholarship Search Begins

Each year Full Basket Belize searches for the best and brightest high school students in Belize to be the recipients of our annual scholarships.  Since 2005, we have provided 463 scholarships to deserving students throughout the country of Belize.  These scholarships pay up to US$500/BZ$1,000 for tuition, fees, books, and uniforms.  Without scholarship funding, these promising scholars would not be able to attend high school.  Unlike in the US, high school in Belize is not free, and families cannot afford the high costs of secondary education for their children.

Your generous donations to Full Basket Belize’s scholarship program help our scholars’ dreams come true.  The students and their families sincerely appreciate your support.  Thank you!
